Knights of Columbus Our Lady Queen of Peace Council 10687
The Knights of Columbus (K of C) is a men's Catholic fraternal organization that supports its members, their families, and the community through a variety of programs and services in Faith, Community, Life and Family Programs. Knights uphold four key principles as pillars of the order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See.

Pro-Life
Unite as a community praying for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. No experience required. Mentors provided.

Finance Council
Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters
A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Council is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Senior Altar Server
Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Stations of the Cross
Held Friday evenings at 6:00PM in the Church during Lent.

Usher
Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Altar Server
Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.

Eucharistic Adoration
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

Eucharistic Minister
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee
Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Flowers and Grounds
Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.

Greeters
Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Lector
Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Liturgical Linen Service
Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.

Sacristan
Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Men’s Group
The Men's Group of Sacred Heart Church is an informal group that gathers twice per month for fellowship, spirituality and bible study. Our meetings occur on alternating Monday evenings at 6PM in the Parish Hall next door to the church. You can find the schedule on the church website and it is also reflected in the monthly calendar which is included in the bulletins. All are welcome to join our group or to simply attend when your schedule permits. No reservation or commitment required. For more information contact Chuck Medlock at 912-661-3962.
