The Legion of Mary is a world-wide organization of Catholics, men and women, who offer their services to their pastor to aid him in performing spiritual works in the parish. This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary so that with her help they may develop greater holiness in their own lives as well as spread a deeper devotion to her among others.
Auxiliary members commit to:
1. The daily recitation of the Rosary.
2. The daily recitation of the prayers contained in the Legion prayer leaflet called the "Tessera."
Auxiliary membersare not obligated to attend any meetings, although it is customary for each Praesidium to plan a get-together once a year for its Auxiliary members so that they can get better acquainted with the Legion of Mary and what it is accomplishing.
