Music Ministry
Sacred Heart is a Catholic church that SINGS! Located at 1707 Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia, ours is an active parish with a wide variety of musical styles and tastes represented.
The 4:30 pm Vigil Mass on Saturdays utilizes a cantor, a song leader, and organist. The music at this mass is usually simple in style, lending itself to congregational singing.
The 8:30 am Mass on Sundays is the Hispanic Mass for the Greater Savannah area, so everything is in Spanish, including the music. El Coro Hispano is a small group of dedicated musicians who bring a deep sense of spirituality to their service.
The music at the 11:00 Mass on Sundays features the Persse Memorial Choir. This group of talented musicians offers everything from simple chants to classical masterpieces and contemporary ballads.
Last but not least, the 6:00 Mass on Sunday evenings is the home of the Sacred Heart Folk Choir, known throughout the region for its wonderful interpretations of Glory and Praise classics, as well as new repertoire by artists such as John Michael Talbot.
Each of the groups above is always open to new members. To find out how you can help please call the church office
